Ingredients
Instructions
Fish Marination
-
Make a paste using 1 pc of the ginger, garlic, and Mehran Fish Masala. Adjust the amount of fish masala according to your preferred spice level.
-
Marinate the fish well with this blended masala (similar to how we would marinate for fish fry). Leave it on for about 2 hours
-
Fry the fish (do not overcook it) till it is slightly brown.
For the Tomato based masala
-
Fry the chopped onion, ginger, garlic & green chili till brown
-
Add chili powder, turmeric powder & pepper to taste.
-
Add the chopped tomato & sauté well.
-
Sauté for a minute and then add vinegar.
-
Take some of this masala and layer it on the bottom of a baking dish.
-
Next, layer it with the fried fish.
-
Repeat with a layer of masala, followed by a layer of fried fish. Continue layering until all the masala and fish are finished.
Baking the fish
-
Bake the fish at 180 C for about 20 mins or until oil comes up in the masala. Ensure the tomato pieces are soft and well blended.
